And if you would like to get ahead faster, check out my ultimate success club at achievegoalsfast.com/USC Now a lot of people come to me and they get frustrated because they're trying to achieve their goals, they're trying to improve their lives and they keep hitting setbacks and can be very frustrating, very disillusioning when you know, no matter what you do, it just doesn't seem to work. And if you've, if you've ever experienced this yourself, I completely relate. I completely relate because I've gone through all of that myself.
And one of the biggest challenges that people come to me and explain to me why they don't seem to be getting ahead is because they don't know what actions to take. And you know what? If you're not taking consistent action towards achieving your goals, well life seems to just, well, it drifts. You drift from one circumstance, one external circumstance to another, and life decides for you what you should have rather than you deciding what you want. Because let's face it, our thoughts and beliefs create our actions. And our actions create our results. And if we're not taking consistent action, nothing much changes in our lives and you know your, your, your life is worth so much more than that. If you don't take consistent action, your life will drift. So when people come to me, he's telling me these things, here's a few things that I share with them.
Firstly, you need to know exactly what you want. You need to become really clear on your goals. And if you're not already clear, just do a brainstorming session. Just get a piece of paper and a pen and write down all the things you'd love to achieve during your life. At some point, at some point you can cross off any later that aren't that important. But getting clear on what you want is so important. Step number one. If you don't decide what you want, I promise you life will just give you stuff, not necessarily stuff that you want. So that's step number one. Step number two is then converting your goals into action steps. I decided at the beginning a lot of people have this problem. They don't know what actions, what steps to take to achieve their goals. And the best way you can do this is is mind mapping.
Use Mind mapping software or just a piece of paper and write down your goal in the center and ask yourself what things can I do to progress towards this goal? Now the amazing thing about mind mapping is it stimulates your creative flow and all sorts of other ideas will come into your mind that would not have come into your mind otherwise. So action steps, brainstorm action steps using mind mapping. Absolutely amazing. And the next step is to use some sort of a daily planner that keeps you moving towards your goal. Because if you only work towards your goals, occasionally nothing much happens. But as the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. When you take one step and then another and another over the course of a year, you've made amazing progress. You don't have to run forwards at a million miles an hour. That's not necessary to achieve even really big goals, but small, consistent steps towards your goal takes things to a totally different level.
You can achieve them far more quickly. The best way to do that is use some form of a daily success daily planner, like my daily success planner in my bestseller, the most powerful goal achievement system in the world. And then the final tip is to reward yourself. Reward yourself every time you keep moving forwards, you hit a setback. Something doesn't go your way, but you don't give up. Most people give up at the first or second hurdle. If you look at the lives - if you study the lives of the world's most successful people, you will find that they have had far more failures than most people, but they've picked, they pick themselves up, they dust themselves down and they try again. They keep moving forward no matter what. So reward yourself every time you confront a situation that tries to stop you - become more determined than ever before.
