Do you know exactly what you want from life? Many people are unclear what they want and their life can drift as a result.

Hi, this is Mike Pettigrew, serial entrepreneur, and Amazon bestselling author. And I have a question for you. What do you really want from life? What do you really want to achieve by the time you leave this world? I've asked this to a lot of people and many people can't answer this question. They're not entirely sure what it is that they want and if you don't get really clear on what it is you want from life, then you'll tend to drift - you tend to just react to changing circumstances with no really clear direction. And to be honest, the difference between people who are clear on what they want and people who are not clear - their lives go in very different directions. So my challenge is to you, or my suggestion is to you - that to write down on a piece of paper all the things that you would like to achieve during your life.

Get really clear on this. This may be dreams that you've given up on in the past, but write down everything. Write down everything. Just do a brainstorming session - 30 minutes - 30 minutes, one hour maximum, and you'll be amazed at the things that deep down you want to achieve. But I have another suggestion for you as well as brainstorming what you'd like to achieve; because that's the starting point. Once you're clear on what it is that you want, you have finally a clear direction that you need to move in - a clear path. But as I say, I have another suggestion for you and that is writing down on a piece of paper, your ideal day - the sort of day that you would love to live every single day of your life.

So what would that include? Describe it. Write it down. From the moment you get up in the morning, - what you would - the first thoughts on awakening. Is it, "oh no, not another day", or is it "Yes Another day!"? Write down the next thing that would take place. Do you go into the shower? Do you have your breakfast? What do you think while you're having your breakfast? All the wonderful thoughts that go through your mind - your ideal day. And then what would you do after breakfast? What would the next thing that you would do if you could do absolutely anything? If you were a billionaire - nothing in your way to do anything - anything that you absolutely want to do. Imagine what that perfect day would be and then go through the morning. What would you, mid-morning? How would you spend your lunchtime? Would it be with friends?

Write it all down. What would be your ideal day from the beginning of the day to the time you go to bed? Now, this may seem like a rather strange exercise, but I've heard some very, very, very successful people who've told me about this - their experiences and amazingly when they've got clear on what their perfect day would be, some years later they waken up and they realize, "oh my God, I've achieved my perfect day" - because they're living it virtually every day and this is really simple - its like magic, but everything starts when you get clear on what you want - want in terms of the things you want to achieve and your perfect day.
