How to Inspire Others

Its been said that the greatest gift we can give another person is to inspire them, or to empower them.

Inspiration can change lives - it can give hope, allow people to see any situation differently, and it even change a person's future.

In this short video you will learn simple ways to become an inspiration to others. And you will discover simple ways to open the door to your own deep lasting happiness.

Hi, this is Mike Pettigrew, best-selling author and serial entrepreneur since 1987. And I help ordinary people achieve extraordinary goals, but not in the way you might think. So, a lot of people ask me, how can I be more of an inspiration to others? Well, it's a very important question. I honestly believe that the greatest gift we can give another person is to inspire them, to empower them. Empowerment is the thing that changes lives. So I think it's really important to become an inspiration to others. So how do we become an inspiration to others? We role model the way and how do we role model the way? We learn from the greatest mentors that we can possibly find. So whatever it is that you want to achieve in your life, seek out mentors, seek out people who have achieved already, what it is that you want to achieve and learn from them, learn from them and test what you learn.

And I think it's, it's so important every day to read the words of great people, who've achieved and transformed society - achieved great things and transformed society in wonderful, different ways. Reading inspirational material changes us inside - reading inspirational words can pull us from negativity into possibility. So I really strongly suggest that every single day at the beginning of the day, you read inspirational words from great human beings who have achieved amazing things for society. And what that does is it stretches your own realm of possibility. It starts to show you what is actually possible for human beings like yourself, because we have a great ability to, uh, to denigrate ourselves we've a great ability to think in terms of "Oh, I can't do this". "I can't do that". Most people have so many limiting beliefs that they really cannot achieve the great things in life. The better things in life, big goals are impossible for so many people simply due to their limiting beliefs and reading inspirational words, changes all that.

It changes the way you think and the way you feel. And your realm of possibility becomes a much bigger. And not only that - commit to yourself that you will share with others what you are learning. So if you're reading something really inspirational and it really moves you share it with someone else. Because as I said a moment ago, I really feel the greatest gift we can give another human being is empowerment or inspiration. So when you inspire someone by what you're inspired by, it's just like that ripple effect - it effects society. And you know, there's that expression that "every teacher teaches what they're trying to learn themselves". And there's some truth in that. So if you read something that's very inspiring do share it with others. Don't, don't just keep it locked inside your own mind. I think that the greatest crime is to not share material that helps other people.

If we learn something, if we learn something really important that can help other people then we, I believe we absolutely have to share that. That's why I do what I do. You know, I lost everything many years ago, couldn't feed my family. And I learned so many new skills from that painful experience. It was horrible, but I'm very grateful for it. And what I learned, I now share like this - in videos like this online, because it's so important that others benefit from what I've learned. So share your inspiration, share what you're learning with others - it's really important. And another great way to be, become an inspiration for others is to do gratitude practices, take up a gratitude practice. You've heard me say many, many times, that gratitude acts like a magnet and draws into your environment all sorts of wonderful synchronicities and benefits. Whereas resentment and complaint push all the good things away.

When you do a gratitude practice, it just makes you feel very different. You start to perceive situations that were maybe challenging in a very different way, and doing a gratitude practice - other people will notice. You will be an inspiration for others. If you are doing your gratitude practice regularly. So it's, it's amazing how these litle small little efforts, these small little adjustments can make massive change in all areas of your life. Gratitude has that power. Another thing that's very inspiring for other people is when they see you setting goals and you share those goals with them and they see you achieving them, that's really inspiring because so many people don't believe in their own ability. And if they see a close friend setting a goal and achieving it, that's so inspiring. It, it can fire people up. They think maybe I could do it as well.

You know, it's, it's amazing how just our actions and our results have a massive effect on other people. And two other things - really important - if you want to be really a great inspiration for others, take up meditation, take up some form of meditation and do it every morning because meditation gives you lots of energy and makes you feel better. It makes your mind, your brain work more effectively. It makes you more compassionate, enables you to connect with other people better. Meditation has so many different benefits, and this has all been proved scientifically. People who meditate have a much better of quality of life than people who don't. And once again, one of those things that is very inspiring for other people, when they see, when they see the effects of meditation, if you meditate, how you affect others will be quite different. And finally, you could consider taking up some sort of voluntary work or actively helping others in some way. Voluntary work and helping other people has been shown to be one of the key ingredients to one's own happiness.

But if you're not outward looking, if you're not caring about other people, if your life starts to shrink in, just because you're concerned about yourself, that's not a very happy way to be, So, taking actions for the sake of others, actively trying to inspire other people any way you can that is one of the key ingredients to happiness. So even if you only try some of the things that I shared in this video, I know that you can become a lot more inspiring in your daily life. So thank you so much for watching.
